I am a transgender woman and learning how to wear wigs and such. I found your site and was intrigued about the ball caps with the hair. I have a bigger head because of being born a icky male. Do your hats fit larger heads? Thank you. (Posted on 03/20/2022)

I bought the baseball cap with the hair sewn in. There is a plastic piece in the hat . Are you suppose to remove the plastic or does that hold the shape of the hat with the hair? Thank you (Posted on 03/09/2021)

I play piano and organ in public. Plus every weekend playing in church for all the services. My husband when I first lost my hair went and bought me a beautiful wig made with real hair. I love but, I can’t wear it everyday it starts to make me itch. So I wear it only when I’m playing for weddings cocktail parties. More important gigs. I just want something easy to put on and not look like an alien or have people look at me like I have a desease! I DO! My family is the most supportive support group a Mom could ask for. My sons girlfriends bought me two with the little piece that cascades to the side, back, but not for everyday use. Bottom I’ve been searching for the beanie caps exactly what I was looking for. I came across your website and was elated to find you! 150$ later I’m anxiously awaiting my package. Thank you Lisa (Posted on 10/06/2018)

I'm not sure this is the avenue to ask questions about your styles of fitted chemo beanies, but I am looking for one style in particular and haven't had much luck finding it on my own. About a year ago I received one that has 3 buttons on the side. It is cotton, I believe, or a mix of poly/cotton and is somewhat gathered or stirred along the sides. Can you tell me what style/number this is so I can order more? Thanks. (Posted on 09/10/2017)

Embarassed to Remove My Hat in Public Review by Hats & Scarves

It is understandable to remove your hat in a bank as they ask you to do when you approach the teller. But my hair is totally thinned out with balding on top by the crown of my head. I am ever so embarassed when the teller ask me to remove my hat. I dare go into the bank to do business because of this embarassing situation. What do I do in this case? (Posted on 06/30/2017)

Hi Susan. I know that this feels frustrating and ridiculous. It's perfectly acceptable etiquette to leave your hat on. Some banks may have policies regarding hats, however. If the teller asks you to take it off, they are probably wanting your face to be visible for security cameras or identification. At least that's what the bank policies will tell you. We have heard where some people lift up their cap, just enough to show their face, without taking it completely off. You might also consider the drive through as an option. Alternately, you can wear a head scarf instead of a hat. They will not obstruct your face and they should not ask you to remove it. (08/02/2017)

My daughter is 6 yrs, headcovers have lot of options for alopecian. ..I am looking for bandana with hair piece for my daughter...do u have her size in hat with hair piece or all displayed caps?? (Posted on 06/11/2017)

We have our hats with hair accessories and we sell bandanas separately. Most of our hats with hair accessories will work for children. However, for someone that young, we would recommend starting with our bangs and the instant hair headband to see how that works for her first. (04/17/2019)

I feel foolish for asking but need to know. If a female wears a hat in public instead of a fitted cap, such as a straw hat, is she expected to remove the hat in public settings such as church, stores, movie theatres, restaurants and such? I have random hair loss with bald spots and thin spots. It is not growing back. Thank you. (Posted on 02/10/2017)

Thank you for this great question! Women are generally except from "hat removal etiquette". The only exception is when the hat is a unisex hat that a man would also wear such as a standard baseball cap. This being said, cancer patients are except from hat removal guidelines, period. Fashion hats may be left on at parties, in a movie or performance, religious services, weddings, lunches, when the national anthem is playing, in the presence of a flag, etc. It is recommended to remove your hat if you are blocking someone's view and one should choose appropriate headwear in office settings. In an office, we would recommend wearing a cloche or bucket style hat, a scarf, a head hugging turban or beanie. A large brimmed sun hat would not be appropriate for most offices. If you are concerned about removing a large brimmed hat at an event, many women choose to wear head scarves or head wraps underneath these hats, which will allow you to remove them if appropriate.
